CONFERENCES
2022 2nd QUARTER CONFERENCE ORGANIZER
A conference organizer will come up with a theme for the event. They will promote the event and fill speaker positions. Once the conference is running they will serve as a moderator and introduce speakers (this role is nice, but, not necessary). (1 hour per week)

2022 4th QUARTER CONFERENCE ORGANIZER

MODERATOR AND MC FOR MONTHLY KEYNOTE
The monthly keynote has two hosts and a guest. The show is a "flagship" show for Kulturo Media. In addition to the interview and question periods there will be other promotions and information about KM and KM properties. The MC and Moderator position will make these announcements and read questions curated from guest questions. (1 hour per show)
MODERATOR FOR PODCAST LIVE SHOWS
The Moderator for the Live Podcasts will start the presenting software, instruct the podcast hosts in how to use it, and moderate comments in the audience chat. This will require interacting with the audience as well. (1.5 hours per show)
WEBSITE AND KULTURO MEDIA
KM WEBMASTER
The Kulturo Media Webmaster will ensure that the website stays updated and fresh. An annual re-design would be managed by the webmaster in consultation with the founders. Periodic page creation and management is also expected. (0.5 hours per week, most times)
KM GRAPHIC DESIGN
Kulturo Media is a growing organization that is responsible for a number of things. Everything from the Archaeology Podcast Network to other services will need fresh graphics and other material on a regular basis. Creating graphics for social media and promotions will also be necessary. (5-8 hours per week, but fluctuates)
KM SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for promotion of KM events and podcast releases through the management of social media engineers. Create a social media schedule and ensure that schedule is adhered to. (3 hours per week)
PODCASTING AT KM
PODCAST SERVICES PROMOTER
Promotion of KM's podcast services division will include researching field schools and university programs and reaching out to them. Other projects in the anthropology space can be contacted as well. The promoter would have detailed knowledge of what we provide and how the client would benefit from having a podcast. (1 hour per week)
ARCHPODNET
PODCAST SETUP ENGINEER
The person responsible for Podcast Setup will create a new template from the podcast's folder and pull the raw files into the sources folder. Then, they will open the Audition file and add the source files. Once the source files are in they will make the audio adjustments to the files as necessary. The task is complete when the Trello card checklist items are complete and the "Preliminary Setup Complete" label has been applied to the card. (1.5 hours per week)
PODCAST COMPLETION ENGINEER
The person responsible for this phase will ensure the edited clips in the Audition file are at 100% and edited. Then, organize all the clips into a cohesive podcast, potentially making small volume adjustments to music and promo position. Then, export and mixdown to a wave file. Open the wave file and do the final mastering steps before exporting as an MP3. The task is complete when the Trello Card checklist items are complete, ad times are entered in Trello, and the "Ready to Post" label has been applied to the card. (1-2 hours per week)
PODCAST POSTING ENGINEER
The person responsible for posting podcast episodes will ensure the host review is complete (as required) and the hosts have entered show notes. If not, communication with the hosts will be necessary. The podcast will be posted as soon as it is ready so it can be available to members as soon as possible. Episodes are posted to the Megaphone show and all shows feeds, to the Squarespace page, and to the Squarespace Early Downloads page. Good internet upload speeds will be necessary to complete this task in a timely fashion. The task is complete when the Trello card checklist items are complete, ad locations are entered in Megaphone, the episode is moved to the archive on Dropbox, and the "Published" label is applied to the Trello Card. Finally, move the Trello card to the published list. (3-5 hours per week, but fluctuates)
ENGINEER: BACK CATALOGUE RE-MASTERING
The APN has an enormous back catalogue. In the early days we were not editing with Adobe audition and we were not mastering the files prior to export. We want to go back and remaster all of the episodes and remove the baked in ads. We need to insert the current ad break sound and set the ad locations. For the earliest episodes this task will require Apple's Garageband. However, that's the really early ones. Many will be in an older version of Audition. (Weekly time: up to you. Probably 5 hours though)
ENGINEER: BACK CATALOGUE POSTING TO MEGAPHONE
The person responsible for this task will take the remastered podcast episodes that are NOT on megaphone and post them to megaphone. They will check links in the podcasts to make sure they are still valid. If a podcast had baked in ads, it no longer does, and those links would be removed as well. These episodes are not posted to Squarespace because they’re already there. Also, they would not be posted to the megaphone all shows feed - just the show feed. (3-5 hours per week)
MONTHLY PROMOS
Outside of advertising the APN has its own promos for services offered and affiliates. To keep them fresh they should be re-written and re-recorded every month. The person responsible for this task would write the promos in Trello so we have a history of differences and ultimately record the promos. This task may include processing of the promos on Audition and posting to Megaphone. Training may be required for those tasks. (0.5 hour per week)
APN WEBSITE MAINTENANCE
The APN website is fairly simple in construction but does require updating from time to time. The person responsible for this task would first assess the website for continuity and correct anything that’s off. For example, the side bar on show pages is not currently consistent. Checking things like pages with missing or confusing information, copyright dates, and such would also be part of this task. When volunteers or hosts are added to the network, adding their information to the about page would also be included. Finally, this person would make recommendations for annual updates and changes to the website design. (1 hour per week)
INSTAGRAM MANAGER
The person responsible for managing the APN Instagram account will make sure we have consistent fresh content. That's a tall order in a day of changing preferences. Work with the founders for direction on promotions and with the hosts for episode and show promotion. Utilize all the features of the platform including reels and IGTV. (3 hours per week)
LINKEDIN MANAGER
The person responsible for this task will help promote the APN on our LinkedIn page. This could include posts referencing recent episodes, articles, and other media involving LInkedIn's offerings.(3 hours per week)
TWITTER MANAGER
The person responsible for this task will utilized the features of Twitter to promote the APN. They would also respond to messages and follow appropriate accounts.(2 hours per week)
FACEBOOK MANAGER
The person responsible for this task would promote the APN on our APN page and moderate comments. If an APN fan group is established this person would manage that group as well. (2 hours per week)
MEMBER COORDINATOR
This person will monitor comments in Slack and potentially other social groups and alert hosts when they are not responding to comments. They will also engage and attempt to initiate conversation in the Slack channels when new episodes are released. Other member coordination duties may be applied. (2 hours per week)
PRODUCER - ARCHAEOTECH
The producer for the ArchaeoTech podcast will help prepare future shows by contacting guests and suggesting themes and articles. Promotion on Social Media when episodes release and sending guests links to their shows will also be required. (1.5 hours per week)
